Lets not forget the merged clubs were favoured during the mergers, both received double funding IIRC and in Hull FC's case it stopped them going into financial administration. The KC (now MKM) was built by HCC with the profits made from the KC sale. All three Hull clubs were offered the facility but HKR refused, preferring to play on their Craven Park ground, which in hindsight has proved the correct decision. The SMC at the time was bought by Hull City because Hull FC either refused or were not financially able to participate and Adam Pearson, at the time the CEO at Hull City, negotiated the terms and conditions with his Hull FC counterpart. Ironical really that he now complaining about these very same terms and condition.

The current landlord of Odsal Stadium is a member led organisation. Do we all agree that the state of Odsal is so poor that the landlords should immediately request substantial renovation funds from their members?

Agreed, since the RFL took on the head lease they've not lived up to their responsibilities as custodians of the sport.

It's all well and good people arguing about a pokey dump like Belle Vue but it's hardly significant is it? When the game is in danger of losing such an important asset like Odsal.

Do you honestly believe that rugby league fans throughout the game have any concerns regarding Odsal. I’m confident that very few none Bradford supporters will loose any sleep should the “important asset “ as you describe Odsal is finally consigned to history books.

They should do shouldn’t they but you’re probably right this country’s going down the pan.

I think you are quite correct, I’m 74 years old, and this decade has seen the most selfish corrupt intolerant society I’ve known, and it all started from the top.

Odsal is an absolute dump. When you walk in it’s like walking into the 1800’s

I’m pretty sure I nearly caught the plague last time I went

Even in the glory years, Odsal only ever had "loads of potential", it has never been the "iconic" stadium that some have tried to convince the world about..
Yes, it's the ground that holds the record for the largest ever RL attendance and those images are just incredible.
However, the bottom line is that an all singing, all dancing new ground would be both better and cheaper than a redevelopment at Odsal.

In hindsight, The RFL would have been better putting their cash into a new ground and not propping up the hole that is Odsal

It's a "natural" bowl but, this is the beginning and end of the story.
