Do you think it was Trinity trying to delay things or would you think that the local authority had something to do with it

yes of course - because you had the opportunity to have a stadium with cas and refused. the stadium would have been a reality now, and look how that ended up!
trying to blame the council for your own inability to accept the truth is laughable. now you will just end up with a lick of paint on the dump you already have........ maybe.......

you don't really know much at all about how Huddersfield Giants is run do you? The Davy legacy will continue long after Ken is gone.
or how the stadium agreement works - we have plenty of years left on the 100 year lease thanks. Likely the stadium wont still be standing - yours definitely wont be - and likely you still wont have a new one.........

I remember the ground share option at the time and thought it was a reasonable solution for both parties.

Correct me if I am wrong but was it not backed by the local authorities and the problem was agreeing to its boundary location.

The new young dynasty of super saints is coming to a ground near you.
Welsby-Dodd-Simms-Eaves-Rizzelli, not Eastmond...the future is coming.

Absolute nonsense. Again, do try and keep up.
You'll be telling us next that if we'd become "Calder", everything would be tickety boo.

Mergers never quite turn out as they are expected to do either, do they.

Where would our mystical shared ground have been built ?

Also, Cas were given the option to groundshare at Newmarket Lane but, they (quite rightly) refused.
Any shared ground would have had to be on neutral territory and this option was NEVER more than a pipe dream, a bit like HuddSheff playing some of their fixtures in Sheffield.
Remind me how many games did they play down there

You are clearly from the Boris Johnson school of telling the truth. Just lie and pretend it’s the truth.
It was Wakey who originally turned down the ground share option. They then changed their mind later. Cas we’re on their way with stadium plans and at that point things would have gone ahead. You clearly preferred administration.
Your original stadium plan was quite rightly turned down because you wanted to build it on green belt land - if that was a housing development no doubt you would have been praising the council for preventing it!
No one was talking about merging the two clubs only sharing a stadium.
You had a brilliant opportunity to have something unique, a real rugby league hub in West Yorkshire. Sharing costs for resources would have saved you money-and brought in more sponsorship. Some poor business decisions made based on pride. perhaps you’d have a bit more to spend where it matters.

Unfortunately your blind hatred for Wakefield Trinity negates anything you have to say, however inaccurate.
