They've gone quiet on that front.
There were about 300 seats sold in the south stand by Saturday night and I'd say 900 across the rest.
Allowing for walk ups etc, 1500 would be my guess but the club are reticent to post either figures or pictures. It's the same with the now discounted gold and platinum options.....they market these as popular but I've only ever seen one matchday sponsor getting presented with their shirt outside.....
I've seen no video of the coach being interviewed in the lounge, or player of the day presentations......now we just a dejected Coleman interviewed in a quiet corridor somewhere.
Has anyone here sampled the delights of broncos corp hospo this year? I've not seen 1 picture across all social media from all our named sponsors of anyone enjoying their day at the game?
This begs the bigger question of how much rent are our landlords getting? Is the gate receipts from 1,500 going to cut the mustard when they look at the financials? Is Hughes content to sit in an empty corp hospo lounge whilst his side are being spanked by Whitehaven?
A few weeks now until the must win home game ......if ever there was a time to throw the dice and market the hell out of a game then this is it.
The ticket site is showing 250 seats already allocated for Dewsbury which is outstanding even if half are in the community sections .....the club really should be trying to fill all 3,000 seats with every man woman and child who've attended a broncos game in the last decade. This is a season defining match.....
...email every fan, get everyone to come in old Fulham, crusaders, broncos or quins shirts.....face-painting, kids zone
Book a band, open up post match presentations to all.....the club need to repair burnt bridges and Dewsbury represents a perfect opportunity to do so.....
.....but hey ho. I'll watch from afar as the club stagger between home ties and the crowds diminish as the season unfolds......I can see us needing 2 wins in our last 3 games to be safe......haven away, Leigh and then Barrow at home.....exciting times, just not in the manner Mr's Hughes, Loubser & Milner planned back when they moved us south.
