Makes me laugh all these supporters of club that have had helping hands to get decent stadiums yet forget their poop holes they played out of, rugby league family indeed
I'll never show the snobbery that some do on here if we ever get this refurb done at Belle Vue

the fact you say if not when says it all.
you are only where you are because you lied as a club. other clubs who have done as asked paid the price. Its not about snobbery its about decency, and the fans of other clubs are quite right to feel aggrieved. When a trip to barrow was a much more pleasant experience regardless of how new the stadium is you should be embarrassed.

I think you need to look at both sides of the coin, many fans miss their poop holes for the better atmosphere they once generated but on the other side fans are proud of the new stadium tenure for the future.
It’s not snobbery Bell Vue has so many false dawns and must work harder, their are quite a few championship clubs that have done that, Wakey and Cas need to get their fingers out of their poop holes.
The new young dynasty of super saints is coming to a ground near you. Welsby-Dodd-Simms-Eaves-Rizzelli, not Eastmond...the future is coming.

Oh dear, please try and keep up.
Do you think it was Trinity trying to delay things or would you think that the local authority had something to do with it

Some people will never take the time to understand the reality. They sit back in their soccer club or council funded stadium and demand to know why everyone else hasn't done the same.
"Brian McDermott, with a wry smile, nods when asked if he remembers a specific incident which made him realise he was a prick. 'I do', he murmurs."

Indeed. Planning was granted in 2012 but, it seems that we needed to wait for the former Leader of WMDC to move on before any proper support and action was properly permitted. At least there is a date for the bulldozers to move in and hopefully, everyone will see the benefit:

Pros and cons in everything but i think R.L. teams that share with football clubs (or even with a Rugby Union club, in Salford's case)have a major disadvantage because the 'major' entity (it seems) takes over to the detriment of the Rugby League team. Wigan and Huddersfield i believe are both now minor partners in their joint stadiums (despite in Wigan's case) being the more popular sport there and Hull FC facing enormous financial problems (and tenure difficulties) because Hull City have ownership of the SMC and call all the shots. Quite ironic really as it was Adam Pearson in his previous role at the Hull City who negotiated the terms and conditions with Hull FC that he is now complaining about. A big advantage to R.L. teams who own their grounds is the advantage to generate many different income streams, which means the grounds can be used for other events 12 months of the year rather than just on match days once a fortnight during the season. I do think some teams both inside and outside of Super League will be 'cutting their cloth'; accordingly just in order to survive never mind prosper.

And you are only here because your club lied about the fake merger with Sheffield Eagles. Some people have very short selective memories.

She knows she's just bitter and twisted, thing is when Ken steps aside it will be the demize of Shudderfield midgets when Town will kick them out of the stadium they will be playing in a cow field where that stupid bell ought to be
Interesting debate.... I speak as a long time trinity fan who has lived in Australia for nearly 15 years...
Previous regimes at Trinity have been pretty well meaning, but have lacked the acumen and tenacity to really take the club and the reputation of the club forward. This was the case during the latter stages of the Members club and the first part of the full time professional period. That changed by accident when Michael Carter took over... since then he eliminated debt and has run the club against its income, the community Foundation and the Academies are amongst the best in the country, the sponsorship and commercial activity has grown exponentially, the board has grown and the chair is an experienced (big 4 consultancy) executive who has led the club to buying the ground and surrounding areas and put in place guaranteed funding for the redevelopment of the ground to commence in July... but the reality is that this could have only happened and can only happen with a supportive local council... and that paradigm changed when the previous leader vacated his role a couple of years ago, and a former chair/ advisor was revealed as a self-serving actor and his influence removed.
you can't change the past and the future is unknown... the only moment of power is now... and no one can criticise the Wakefield Trinity club for what they are doing... now!
