I would have Reynolds starting at stand off. We need him and Gale to get some game time together. Lovodua to loose forward.

I can't see one area of Johnstones game that is better than Lane, do you either remember JJ making or break or a really good run in SL?

I can the point of having a player of utility value on the bench, but that's no good if the player is terrible in all 3 positions.

Lane offers so much more

IMO JJ out performed lane last couple of matches. Suppose it all comes down to opinions

Very harsh to call him terrible. He's clearly not that bad, but that's RLFans for you.

I can see your point re cover for Houghton but even when Johnstone is in the team the coach is still playing Houghton for 80 mins and i thought he would have looked at last season when burning Houghton out flogging him without suitable interchange.
I understand having two nines with pace on the field at the same time can be an advantage but Houghton and Johnstone are similar and offer no attacking running threat from acting half
Parcell at HKR is the ideal nine and was outstanding against Warrington using his pace to great effect and the sooner we can get Lovodua settled at nine the better we will be.
The problem is he is also showing he is the best 6 we have on current form

Agree. They are the first choice half backs so let Reynolds and Gale have a run of games (injury permitting) to develop a partnership. Reynolds has been disappointing but this would be a good opportunity to prove himself.

I'd start Lovodua at Hooker and have Houghton on the bench. Some of his better performances over the last 2 years have been from there.

Not only has Lovodua been a quality acquisition his versatility means some established players aren't or at least shouldn't be guaranteed a place.

It's a rare luxury to have a team in form with options in key positions.
