It still took over 20 mins and several sets to score our first try of the 2nd half which is ‘earning the right ‘ to play an expansive style . I’m starting to think there’s an iq problem with some players or they’re just mentally lazy and I don’t know how Grix keeps his cool sometimes, it’s not hard , complete your sets give no penalties and bide your time , you don’t have to score on every set .
Like someone said previously Hewitt was underwhelming as have all the duel reg players and it’s time we let the likes of calcott have a run now , in the first half I was thinking how peed off I would be trekking all way up to Newcastle on a Friday night to play for Huddersfield reserves to have duel reg players taking my spot . I know larroyer played well in the second half but he’s not a prop and shouldn’t be ahead of calcott and Morris in the pecking order.
Spot on.

It's hardly surprising we put in disjointed performances like yesterday's first 50 minutes, what with all the chopping and changing of the team. Sending our lads to play for Huddersfield reserves and bringing in Huddersfield players who are no better than ours is lunacy. What on earth does our coach think he's doing? On a positive note the lads showed real character to pile up 36 unanswered points late on. Keyes MotM followed by Larroyer and Gwaze. Up The Fax!

Such a fine balancing act the duel reg system and tbh I keep changing my mind , the players involved on both sides must be frustrated, we know Hewitt for example is a quality player at this level after his performances last year but yesterday he didn’t perform. I think being thrown in last minute for one game here n there is detrimental for both club and player . I wonder if amir bourouh would have signed for Salford if he’d have known Marshall was going to be sacked , another quality player being passed from pillar to post . I don’t know what the solution is but isolated games here n there are not .
I thought we were bloody awful for about 55 minutes and were lucky that whitehaven couldn't field a full side. And last weeks game took a lot out of them plus they lost players for this game due to injury if they could have carried on playing for the last 25 minutes like they did for the first 55 with a full team we would of lost that game. I am glad simon as said that just because we won this would not be swept under the carpet. That was Probably one of the strangest games i have seen for some time. Credit to keyes he was good through out the game and salty and gawze tried hard as usual larroyer second spell made a big difference to the side and aston had a poor game and i don't know why louis was dropped again he along with others must not know weather they are coming or going. This constant changing of certain players in the side is no good it doesn't seem to matter how some players play they always keep there place while others are in and out on a weekly basis and it is having a negative affect on the teams performance. We do lack punch through the middle and this is the areas where i would agree with some changes.
