A good performance tonight. The team stood up well against a very physical Catalan side.
Again good to see the team coming together in the face of adversity and sticking to their process to get through a sticky patch and come through the other side.
Lucky we had fages on the bench who was only expected to play a bit in the final part of the game just to get some game time but actually was needed when Oli Russell took a very heavy knock after 30 minutes. Jerry also came off with an injury so a bit of shuffling needed with Leroy shifting out to wing and McQueen to centre and Catalan then tried to send some traffic down that side to exploit that change.
Cogger seemed to link up well with both Russell and fages- who really lifted things when he came on. I thought Jonesy was fabulous in the first half especially and was my MOM. Hill Yates greenwood and Derek put in some hard work.
No doubt the detractors will blame the fact that Catalan had their flight cancelled and arrived late and that’s why we won, but we cannot help that.
Tomkins was awful. Must have left his kicking boots in France.
