At least the team haven't given up.......but the back office shambles continues.
The ability to string a sentence together and hit "tweet" seems to be below the CEO. The head of commercial was happily front and centre earlier in the week with his picture adorning Twitter and the club site, but nowhere to be seen on matchday......and where has our Ipswich town loving sports media student got to?
Nice to have a point, but it is looking increasingly like a 3 horse race for 2 relegation spots.
Speaking of horses.....the broncos tweeted about a red nose day event at a west Acton? School with Buck in attendance......so maybe the nags will be back on Sunday......although buying a ticket could be interesting as the banner is still broken on the club site after 14 days. :DEPRESSED: :FRUSRATED:

Imagine the April LB management wash up meeting.
Employee A: The attendance at the Bradford game was unexpectedly poor.
Employee B: that will be those miserable RL fans forum armchair experts and their negative energy putting everyone off.
Employee C: I suppose we could have sorted out the link allowing people to buy tickets. We did have 3 weeks.
Employee A: Here’s your P45. Get out.

A draw - which was better than expected - until you remember before covid (the 2019 season) we beat 8x champions Leeds, 5x champions St Helens twice, reigning champions Wigan and the then Challenge Cup holders Catalans Dragons away in Perpignan. A draw doesn't really cut it.

When you think back, the last time we played Barrow at Craven Park in 2018, we absolutely spanked them, 72-6.
It makes todays draw, pale into insignificance. However remarkable it may be.

In the context of this season, we need to defeat Dewsbury twice and Workington twice to have a chance of staying up. This point is an additional bonus, but I realistically see us needing 12 points to avoid the drop......Dewsbury have already beaten Sheffield and I will repeat my earlier prediction that Sheffield away will be our first win of the season. We need to target Sheffield home and away, as well as Whitehaven away.....Newcastle blow hot and cold, so we may snipe 2 points from them too......as I say, 12 points should be enough

In the context of previous seasons, Hughes is pulling out of the club and he has as much as said that in 5 years time they need to be paying their own way. We may not agree with or see any logic in his decisions, but the cold hard fact is that a 1k average gate can just about afford this squad and if we want a better quality of Rugby/Squad, then the club need to work harder on attracting fans because we are lightyears away from either defeating St Helens or sticking 70+ points on Barrow at present.

Bottom line is the decline in standards on and off the pitch over a relatively short time is a choker but we are now a PT set up all we can expect is a decent PT championship operation. The rest depends on the skill of the coach, players and management. Start of the season, for whatever reason, and I make no excuses for it, we were way,way off. on all metrics. As at today the playing squad seem to be competitive. If we can move that to winning a few that would be a start. I Remain of the view that we need some players in. Off the pitch it’s pretty shambolic, so there’s a lot of work to be done there.

Good to see a point on the board. Most expected this game to go one way, so good to see the squad put in a decent performance. Sounds like olly L had a decent game, good on him, a few folk were very negative about him when chatting at game a few weeks back.
Importantly they seem to be improving week on week, let's hope we get that win next time out

Congratulations to Barrow by the way.

Just shy of 2k in attendance and they had a full compliment of matchday sponsors in place as well as a matchday sponsor for the ladies game earlier. Entry for a fiver if you came for the ladies game and their twitter feed was awash with pre-match information then score updates with graphics and pictures.

When comparing Barrow, who were in L1 last year to London who were a SL club not long ago, it's worth noting that they have a community partnership program in place which actively works in the immediate Barrow in Furness community, whilst last week our mascot Buck was at a school in West Acton, 3 miles down the road from our old home at Trailfinders but 12 miles and across the river from our new home.

I've never been to Barrow, but according to the office of statistics, it is a town with a declining population due to socio-economic pressures and was voted the most working class place in Britain in 2008. From the pictures and video I've seen, Craven Park isn't up to SL standard and only has a capacity of 3,000 with a great deal of that terracing, but they have an average attendance of 1,900 this year and they have assembled a pretty competitive squad.
and seem pretty happy with where they are.

We on the other hand a forking out on a SL standard stadium with no chance of seeing SL standard football from a bargain basement squad assembled by a coach who won 3 games from 18 in the 3rd tier last season and has now had 7 games as London Broncos Coach without a win. Joey Grima won once in 19 outings as London coach, Powell had a slightly better 27% win ratio...you have to ask how long will it be before Hughes loses patience?

I've just quickly scanned over the 13 Twitter accounts of the other sides in our division and they ALL have regular match updates with graphics and sponsor information on try scorers........so it would seem that only London Broncos have neither the staff nor the willingness of volunteers to keep this key channel of communication updated.

Still...well done Barrow. A small community focussed RL club showing how it can and should be done :ROCKS:

The other stand out feature of this mega performance is of course we played in black. So let's give ourselves a head start & dump the blue & yellow sop to the landlords & stick with black.

Yep, this Wire kit is obviously jinxed. I suggest a mass burning at the next home game.

Gus Mackay we salute you!!
