Has there been any update on Newman? Wasn’t mentioned in the presser when asked about injured players returning.

4 weeks minimum I would say. Would be madness to rush it again. Hopefully Broadbent gets his chance tomorrow and manages to take it. Must be very tempting to rush Holroyd back, but it would be a disaster if he came back early and hurt himself again.

Think Marty mentioned earlier in the week that Broadbent is playing. Really hope he is right.

Agar says he couldnt ask for more than in theyve responded in training. Ie everyone gets a reprieve and another poor performance leads to no changes...

If Broadbent plays that will be 4 changes to the side that played against Hull and 4 changes in key positions.

Well ones suspended, Bentley returns. I'm not convinced broadbent will oust Briscoe and Leeming comes back for Johnson who was made a scapegoat so I'm not sure we can credit Agar for responding to the defeat.

Broadbent and to some extent Mustapha deserve a shot on the basis Sutcliffe and Briscoe haven`t done a lot and the forwards can`t say they`ve done much to secure their place this week.
