Is it to counter Phil Clarke's rabid hatred of us? It's either one extreme or the other. We were crap but that shouldn't detract from Hull's performance especially Connor. That "no look" pass out to the wing was worth the entry money alone! Almost as good was Austin's attempt at a similar pass but Fusitu'a had decided to stop to have treatment on his eye! I think Jake said something to Blake about it! I wish Connor could keep that level of performance up and then Wane would have no choice but to pick him. Felt for the young kid Cator too. Hope he makes a speedy recovery. Galey should be able to mentor him about how to deal with such a setback!
"Arguably the best Rugby League side certainly in the last 40 years!" Phil Clarke.
All things considered I think we can be fairly happy with the start we've made to the season. We've had a lot of adversity but on the whole we've showed up pretty well. The Saints game was dreadful, but we probably wouldn't have beaten Saints even if we played great. Not without Connor. Wakefield away was a well ground out win and we've put in 2 really good performances against Salford and Leeds. The only really frustrating one was the slip up against Castleford.
We should start to get a few guys back in the coming weeks, if we can start to get a bit of luck on the injury front then I'll be quite optimistic going into the summer. From what I've seen so far Saints are head and shoulders above anyone, Wigan and Catalans are probably next. After that we look as good as anyone else. Leeds are poor, Warrington look too lightweight, Castleford will be up and down, Rovers look to have regressed. I haven't seen much of Huddersfield who also look decent. That will be a big game next weekend.

did anyone notice that ball Jake tried to slip on 27 mins ? it was his best work on display If you have the recording go to around 27.10 and see how he plays the 3 on 3
it’s beyond sublime and i had to watch it 3x more just to admire it properly
the Leeds player has to knock it on to stop a clean break from out of almost nothing

Yes it's all down to consistency both in terms of performance and team selection. We need a good run with a settled 1-6-7-9. I've no idea how long Reynolds will be out but Gale only has next Sunday in terms of SL games left on his ban.

My most enjoyable visit to Headingley in 41 years of supporting FC. Had Directors Suite tickets and sat in the box behind Ralph Rimmer, the new RFL Netball coach, Adam and his daughters. Great to be so close to the coaching team and be able to see all the tech in action up close. Prior to the game in the suite, James Bentley predicted a 42-6 home win, Hetherington was bigging up this game as the benchmark for the season. Funny. Go to say the hospitality at Headingley in the Directors Suite is outstanding, as good as I've had anywhere and definitely the best in SL.
Gutted for Cator and surely our injury crisis is going to ease soon, need a lot of troops back for the Giants game.
A fantastic effort from the team , No one realistically gave Hull a chance but I thought the forwards were outstanding ,probably best display for a while to lay the platform for Connor to weave his magic .
Judging by his interview, he really doesn’t want to be there. I thought Leeds said he was a Randnitch type of position, he was supposed to be in charge if recruitment and choosing a head coach. Maybe no one wants “ The poisoned chalice “
