All good here in Rovrum. Hope you n yours remain well

On twitching.
Obviously there is still some expectancy regarding Fax but I think most, Fax faithful and pundits realize that we are not favorites.
That can help when we lose games that we were expected to lose!
On the other hand when you are at the top the pressure on supporters often dominates our thinking and the games week in week out and it can end up where the relief from not losing is greater than the joy of winning spoiling the enjoyment somewhat particularly on game day where you stand there for most of the game stressing out.
In the above sense Fev fans must be under some sort of stress having built for so long and having come so close, even the thought to lose out again must be more than twitchy.

That defeat will take some getting out of the system i am still in a foul mood know. That for me was the best we have played for some time including last season. There were a number of turning points were the result could of gone our way and not to mention fev are a strong team that kept coming for the full 80. 2 sin binning's for backchat at the ref is asking for trouble that is in our power to put right. And murray losing the ball in the act of scoring. The ball bouncing over louis from a kick threw which smith scored from and then louis makes a break and he is 2 on 1 with there fullback and with Walmsley on is outside and is hamstring goes so we could not take advantage of that opportunity. Also Walmsley gets put away up the touchline approach's the fullback chips over the top and the fullback takes him out but the referee says play on. All in all a very good effort against for me the best team in the comp so credit to simon and the players for that. The problem we have is we will probably need to go on a long winning run again to finish were i believe we should be in the top 3 if we play like yesterday then i would say we can and also have a very good chance against leigh.

I was not happy with the board giving him a clause in is playing contract that when marshal left he would get the job not that that is Simon's fault but not a good place to start. Then i think he as shown clear favoritism towards is brother and other players over others he would say different but i have seen some poor performances get severely punished were others are guaranteed to be in the side regardless of how they play and it is happening again this season. And if you look at our performances since he took over there as been far more poor performances then good. I hope that what we saw on sunday from the team is a sign of things to come from the side for the rest of this year and nothing would please me more from a rugby perspective for simon to go on and have a very successful coaching career at halifax. If you would like to read a one sided love fest about simon go on the clubs facebook page if anyone dare say a bad word about him on there they have a fit.

We had a similar start last year but we will come good . I think there’s certainly a case made for a nepotism regarding his brother. I also think part of the rebrand was to attract more fans and part of that was to play attractive attacking rugby which Simon seems to be taking on board as part of his philosophy. Not really a Facebook user and certainly not involved in any click , just wanted an objective viewpoint.

I don't want you to think that i am having go at you far from it i am just giving you a honest answer for your question. And want to be clear that whatever i think about how simon got the job or the decisions he as made i will always support the club and contribute financial to the club as much as i can so that for me is supporting him.

Tbh the question wasn’t directed at anyone in particular just a generalisation. I followed fax from the late 80s as a child up until the late 90s and on and off since . I was looking for a new hobby to share with the Mrs ‘ and my parents have followed fax for 30 plus years. Obviously being new back one advantage is I don’t really have an opinion swayed either way but as a returning fan the style of rugby is decent and I think Grix will do well over the course of the season . Tbh I think if we had the same budget has fev and Leigh we would be genuine contenders .

Just watched the highlights back of the game. Three things:

1) What was Barber's yellow card for?

2) It appears Dan Murray gets the ball down under the posts what isn't given.

3) Walmsley drops the ball onto his foot for the intercept so should have been play on.

Didn't go to the game so can't say that there weren't moments that Fev should have benefited from a decision or two that went against them but its still frustrating to lose that one in the end.

I think barber was back chat but not sure , Murray admitted in the interview after he didn’t ground it , I thought the same about the walmsey intercept but wasn’t sure of the technicality of the knock on rule , we certainly had more than a few chances , full game has now been uploaded so I will watch tomorrow at some point .

I think the interpratation is that its a knock on as he didn't have prior control of the ball so its slightly different to someone carrying the ball and dropping it on to their foot. The Barber sinbinning is one of those annoying ones, Fev seemed to get a run of penalties around that point and we know players are offside all the game but the the Fev player drops the ball cold, I think barber was offside but it had no bearing on the ball been dropped and its one of those where the majority of the time the ref just gives the knock on. Its stupid by Barber to back chat but can see why he did it.
