Does he do enough, offers very little in attack (including kicking)and is poor in defensive?

Add to that his injury record last season, been a very poor signing.

I've seen more in 2 games from Cust and Croft that 20 or so games from Reynolds.

People mention McNamara but for me Reynolds is much worst when you look at his salary.

Is there a halfback in SL that is involved I less trys than Reynolds.

Jury still out for me as he had a bad injury last year and has also had to play alongside Sneyd, Conor, Gale and McNamara in the halves so will be difficult to build consistency each week. I like his enthusiasm, but think he could do more given his salary. His tackle technique is a bit of a worry at times and fear it could lead to sin bins / red cards.

Does an occasional big hit, but misses far too often, most misses by far in SL (Nearest players all have made alot of tacles)

Currently missing an average 5 tackles a game and has a success rate of about 60%

I don't think so, but he won't be cheap and certainly not getting value for money.

Jury out for me too at the moment.

To be fair, last season he was hampered twice by injury and also by Covid.

Also he’s had an array of half back partners.

Looking forward to see how he works with Gale, if they can get a steady run together in April and May. Then we come the end of June, we should be deciding whether to take up the option of third year of his contract or not.

Pretty much how I see it in regards to Reynolds, his hamstring was unfortunate and typical of any player that hasn't played much he was then hit by covid. His knee injury would have happened to any player that ended up in the position he did by the tackle.

I do think having Gale alongside him as his halfback partner will make a difference.

I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

Don't have an issue with Reynolds personally, he had a nightmare of a year in 2021 through no fault of his own and is now finally (touch wood) having a bit of a consistent run in the team. He has shown glimpses of what he can do this season and his energy can be infectious, im happy to give him time. He has only played about 100 minutes of rugby with his half back partner and every one of those minutes have been in dire conditions! The club has bigger problems than Reynolds at the moment.

not been impressed with Reynolds however playing with McNamara is not going to enhance his game.
I would like to see him with Gale for a run of games if we ever get that with these two before writing him off.
That said the club should be looking at two new halfbacks for next season

Is it definitely a club, rather than player, option for the third year?
