Whilst it’s not been the most positive start to the season with injuries and defeats I thought I’d reflect on the new signings that have played so far , I ll go for my top 3 in reverse order
3 Cory aston , Aston has been energetic and attacks the line well he’s made some good line breaks and he’s pretty solid in defence, his kicking game needs to be better .
2 joe Keyes , kicked the team around well and is at the heart of our attacking play , a little light defensively but I feel there s more to come .
1 Titus gwaze, this guy is a machine , not the biggest prop but relentless tackling in defence and carries well in attack , makes very few errors and gives no penalties, is stamina is off the charts , really like gwaze I think he’s been a great find .

Still early days yet but up until now i'll go with them.
You would likely get more response from some quarters if the thread was about "The Least Favourite New Signings"
Fair play faxcar i will give you that one the only issue i have with cory and this is not his fault when he had a bad game he still gets picked the following week whilst other players have a bad game and they are straight out of the side. I would go with gwaze as the best so far but i am hopeful that both walmsley and jouffret will provide extra creativity and score a far few tries this season. And it is disappointing to not be able to see how knowles would have performed he could of been what we have been missing up front.
Im going to mention Kyle Wood, he is a class above Moore with his distribution and we missed him badly in the Widnes game. Interesting as well to see Amir Borrough go on loan to London, I would have happily taken him and got rid of Moore after the way both performed last season.

Moore hasn't been half the player he was before becoming captain. His spell at shuddersfield did him no favours either.

In fairness to Moore he played most of the season with a ruptured bicep . As regards bourough id have him back in a heartbeat, offers a running threat from dummy half and tackles hard too, great player . In fact the more I get back into rugby league the more I realise how many Halifax born players play elsewhere especially siddal lads , shame really.

Aye Moore hasn’t been half the player since he ruptured his bicep. Before that he was outstanding for us and in his spell at Huddersfield where he received plenty of plaudits with hardly a negative comment.

BM is a very good player but his spell at shudds was hardly successful for him or the giants. If you think differently fair enough. If he's fully fit now let's hope he gets back to his form of two seasons ago. I personally would start with Wood and use Brandon off the bench.
