I guess a suite in the stand and not having to pay to have photos hung on the wall is the best we can hope for.
Totally he should, but on the same day announcing a stand being named after Chris Chiltern there is an interview in the fail with language like "we don't want to be paying someone else's bills" I still think it's a long way off!

Not sure exactly what that means but it doesn't sound promising.
No doubt our friends from across the river will clarify this.

The problem had been for quite sometime that the SMC have not invested in the stadium and I think there’s been some dubious/underhand things that have gone on with the previous regime.
What had been evident is the SMC has failed to utilise the Stadium for the benefit of the City and community. Things like the stunt pulled over the Arena along with the childish refusals for using the Stadium have only added to reducing Stadium revenue. Hopefully moving forward the current team in charge of the SMC will utilise the Stadium and bring other events to the Stadium to offset its running costs for the benefit of both teams in the long run.
I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

With the Allams not getting the stadium and Walton Street handed over to them for nothing that is when things turned sour like the Airco, the charging for memorabilia on the walls, taking down the council flag and the Smc started losing millions mysteriously! Will see if things change for the better for us.
I understand the point the new owners have made regarding footing bills etc, the club cannot expect things to be done free of charge and I would like to think AP is smart enough to accept that.
I think there is signs that the relationship between the club and SMC will improve over time. Would the Allams have let the club open the stadium for Johnny's memorial service? I doubt it.
Any plans to name a stand after JW will take time, I personally don't think it will happen, but I am confident the club and council will find a fitting way to honour him.

Isn't that why we pay a huge amount to play at the ground?
Is Hodgson the new Griffin, or is it all about pace?

Yeah, very fair point. You'd like to think our rent includes for maintenance etc. The Neglect to the ground and surrounding area from the Allams sadly might have to come at an additional cost mind.
At least Adam is in the position of knowing the SMC side of things inside out having been involved from the initial set up and he's seen 1st hand how the Allams have loaded it in debt, it must look a horrific prospect for the new owners. Perhaps he'll be offered a place on the SMC, if he's confident further revenue streams can be exploited it could be a big positive and the chance to make the SMC profitable again can only be attractive to both parties.

Apparently there was an audience with Acun tonight at the MKM. Nick Barmby (obviously a massive FC fan) was a speaker also. And rugby league got discussed as well. One City fan posted on their forum: "FC is our city’s team??? Thought I’d be the first to say this. Acun Out." Anyone listen / attend - wonder what the context was.
