It would seem that diving, play acting and feigning injury are now a tactical part of our sport.

Cas v KR was the latest game to be plagued with it and i am embarrassed about what is happening in our game.

It does not help that the RFL are handing out yellow cards for literally any slight indiscretion.

Certain teams are using it to benefit the chances of winning and I find it absolutely abhorrent behaviour.

What's the rumpus, Tom?

Indeed. It was one of things that used to set RL above football for me.

Whilst I understand, I am not sure how much I agree.
I look back at what we used to accept in our game and while I still admire it, I am not sure it is worth the damaging and suffering. I say this as a man of a decent age, who looks the lads playing now as vulnerable little boys and girls :D

Has anybody seen any games were the ref has used the Green Card.

The new young dynasty of super saints is coming to a ground near you.
Welsby-Dodd-Simms-Eaves-Rizzelli, not Eastmond...the future is coming.

They're too busy looking for the yellow.

What are they actually for? There have been several players going down and being treated on the field in the games I've watched and I've not seen any green cards. Do they require the ref to think the player is faking it or something?

Should the referee call time off at the request of either a Physio, Doctor or Head Trainer to allow a player to receive attention, then the player will either leave the field for a concussion assessment, be interchanged, or will leave the field for 2 minutes of elapsed playing time before being allowed to re-enter the field by the Reserve Referee in an onside position from the dug out side of the field.

When the injured player leaves the field for a period of 2 minutes, the referee will show the green card to indicate this process starting.

The referee still holds sole discretion to be able to call time off.

I’ve seen mikey Lewis use the tactic twice so far this year to gain advantage. The refs only have themselves to blame though.
