Home advantage, a bit of confidence from last week's game. Thoughts on a win? As every season with CC a win is what we need for the team, but is progressing into next round and possibly facing much stronger opposition worth it? Defensively I reckon we will be ok against Bradford, we need to post points to show we can score. My prediction, a loss by one score, something like 12-18 hope am proved wrong
Well it shouldn't be the mud bath that Fev looked although rain due again today & AFC using it Saturday I believe. Unless we have our best 17 playing, think it will be easier than that for Bradford. Not going to make any money out of this game & playing a SL side should we win would be embarrassing. Maybe we should have moved the game to Bradford.
Bradford by as many as they want. As.others have said elsewhere, we've not scored a try from our own attacking prowess since week 1......defending 5h3nline will take its toll as the season drags on
My modest hope is that we compete and score at least 2 tries. What won’t be acceptable is hearing about COVID absences and an even weaker side than before being put out. Our best 13, or near as, need to start getting some match time together if we are to avoid relegation. As the song goes “it is later than you think”.
In fairness we appear to have put out our strongest squad to date. It’s unfortunate that Bradford are both good and could do with a win but I’m hopefully we can put up a stronger performance than the last two home games. Sadly crowd looks like it’s going to be sub 500 but it is what it is.
I'm going for a home win. New Hooker Gahan to play half back and make a difference. Backs looking more exciting, although I would have liked having Horsman in the 17 as he tried to do something different against Whitehaven.
Biggest miss from what I've seen will be Bienek. I think this will be the first appearances this season of Ulberg, Albert, Gahan, Walker. You would think they are all upgrades on the teams so far.
I guess the next two ideal additions would be a playmaking half back and a big mobile forward.
Dont see a win today, but if we keep bradford close it will give hope for games coming up vs Barrow and Sheffield. Keep bradford to within 2 scores, actually score some offensive tries and we might be able to start the turn around in a couple of weeks.
Just had a look at the tickets sold, and it looks really poor, if ticketco is correct it will be around 500 max. Bradford don't look to be bringing many down either
