Reading the ‘Courier’ McDermott started mind games saying his quartet of stars will not be fit for Sunday. Yeah yeah yeah. Pull the other one. Although if True could be Fax’s best chance of progressing.

Not sure where to start with this ignorant post and the ridiculous "mind games" comment.
Firstly, this isn't an interview with the "Courier", this is directly lifted from an interview with Fev's "RoversTV" subscription service for Fev fans, which Ben McKenna, who works for the group that owns the Yorkshire Post, the Courier, the Pontefract & Castleford Express (where the same article also appears) etc, has clearly listened to.
Secondly, McDermott is merely stating what most people already know about some players who have well-documented long-term injuries - Kopczak has been out since the pre-season with a knee injury, Sene-Lefao dislocated his shoulder in the season-opener, and Hardcastle suffered a bad hamstring injury in the Leigh game. The only one of the four players he mentioned who has a chance of playing this wekeend is Leilua, who also had a hamstring injury, and that will be down to conditions and whether McDermott wants to risk him, as he clearly stated.
Frankly, it's a bit insulting to suggest that McDermott providing updates for Fev fans on long-term injuries is some sort of "mind games" tactic towards Halifax.

Not as insulting as McDermott saying clubs like Featherstone have no place in Super League.

Id like to see Leilua play as I think it would add a bit of interest to the game especially as he would be up against Barber who is a bit of a grub and would probably be trying to get a rise out of him for the full 80. To be honest I can't see Fev risking him especially on a pitch that is going to be like running in treacle.

I get the impression from what McDermott has said that Leilua would be considered fit to play by any normal standards but given he's had one hamstring twinge on a muddy pitch he just doesn't want to risk another when we're probably not far away from the grounds drying up. Especially when he can slot Hellewell in, who probably isn't really a centre these days on a quick surface but is fine in that position in the mud.
Looking at where they have lined up both Leilua and Barber have played right centre I think so Leilua would likely be up against Arundel?

Phantom horseman are those initials because of your acidic nature ? If none of the 4 mentioned play then all the more chance for Fax, but it would not be a surprise to see at least one of them in the 17. Say what you like, it would not be the first time ‘Gamesmanship’ if you prefer that word has been used to try and disrupt the opposing teams selection.
