We can challenge for top 4 tho, like you say injuries and suspensions are key and so far they arent looking good.

Totally agree.
It's shaping up to be a decent battle for second.
Saints are in a league of their own.
We look like we'll struggle in the battle for second, but get some bodies back and avoid suspensions and we could be in the mix.
Hang on......sound familiar........

It’s like a rinse and repeat of last season

I think we can read too much into the opening 2 games, it’s a long season and lots can happen, Saints could get a ton of injuries, they might walk the league again, we could get bodies back and go on a big winning run, and all other clubs will have dips and runs in form.

Nothing is won in round 2 or 3.

We do seem to be having no luck with injuries again, but we will get them back, at least we’ve got our first choice halfbacks available this year

Agree, they are currently. Give them the injury issues is and Wigan have had over last few years and they’d struggle too. Wire are the most disappointing as they’ve had pretty healthy squads and been miles off. Let’s get the win v Cats and kick start the season. I’m even planning on watching this one…!

So here’s a genuine question. Can anyone tell me when we were last able to field a fully fit squad-even leaving Walker out of the equation-I’m guessing it’s at least 3 seasons ago?

Excellent question, that’s the point I made in an earlier posting. Also let’s not forget the amount of times we have had to play people out of position.
Briscoe for example, a bog standard winger playing in the centre spot.

Well we’ve already not had the pairing for a game we’d probably have won with them both…

The pre season friendly v Hull I reckon…we named 1-17 in the squad announced, although Prior ended up not playing but before that I don’t recall the last time we were able to name 1-17 in a squad?

Sir Gregory Parsloe wrote:Apparently it should not have been given. At the end of the sky coverage, Carney said Darryl Powell had told them off Camera, the rule is you can only kick the ball between the knee and toe and you can’t use the heel as Bibby did.

I’d never heard this before but if true we are in a scary world where a Cas fan knows more about the rules than Moore and Thaler put together. God help us.

In which case every single play the ball is a knock on. Powell got it wrong as he was responding to the VR saying it wasn't a knock on because Bibby kicked it. However it actually wasn't a knock on as it went backwards. It can't be a knock on from that point by it coming off the foot (or knee or shin or anywhere else below the waist for that matter).
