Difficult to disagree with all thats been said. Poor performance from the 25th minute on. We lack cutting edge, we lack speed. We desperately miss Newman.
Our last tackle plays was attrocious last night and far too many missed tackles and offloads allowed. Losing Cam Smith certainly hurt our middle defence.
Austin had moments, Sezer had a poor game for me. Leeming had a couple of nice early scoots but overall was really disappointing, he doesnt miss many tackles but for a middle defender his contact isnt good enough. Mikolaj doesnt look 100% and Walker is gonna need time.
Weve too many non-contributors tho, Sutcliffe, Briscoe, Mellor, Thompson what are they bringing to the table?
That being said. It was a poor performance. We all know we are better than that. It happens from time to time. We need a response and are capable of it.
Fair play to Wigan they fully deserved the win. They are a good defensive team and cut us to ribbons at times also.
Injuries are starting to mount for us already, big worry.
Not a kneejerk sack the coach now moment but I really hope we're looking at a successor who knows how to convert pressure into points. While ArthurC's point about pace is spot on, Usain Bolt would struggle to score without a system to put him in space. Really unsure what Long's doing to earn a wage.

The ball went backwards off Bibby's arm (otherwise it couldn't have hit his outstretched back foot) so there was no knock on in the first place. The VR got the decision right, albeit for the wrong reason.
Yep, definate try. Thought Liam Moore, once again, had an excellent game. Plenty said this week by Leeds about refs and panels but Liam Moore is an excellent young referee.
Lack of pace is a clear issue. I’m surprised this hasn’t been addressed over past 4-5 years. If we go 0-3 next week then Wakey game will be must win. I like Agar but I think he did his work, and this was the season to get a new coach in. I’m wondering if he could go upstairs later in season and ? Give Longy a go, maybe look at getting Maggsy back as assistant? I’m not bothered about winning anything this year, we just need to keep building and have an big clear out at end of year (again). Emphasis on pace.

Jeez it was cold last night!!!
Mikolaj looks about 60% to me. Maybe it's because I'm getting old, but I can't remember being colder at a match. Despite the result I have been a lot more miserable though. Not quite down there with 10 try Offiah massacre at Central Park.
What the **** was that? Utterly deflating after Warrington Wolves performance. Few walk out of that with credit. What the hell had they been doing in training the last week? That was truly awful. Any ideas anyone to explain that?

Aye it was cold!
I think as fans we probably live too much in the moment, by that I mean we take the latest result snd extrapolate it out over a season.
We were poor wigan were good, might all be different in a few weeks/months time.
Jai field seems to be the greatest player of all time, next week he might have a shocker!
Really big game for us Thursday they need to repay us fans that travelled last night!

Missing 7 of our best players. Remaining players nacked after big effort with 11 men at times last week. Mik on one leg, Walker thrown back in way too early because Myler out. My major criticism is we have no quality at centre with Newman out.

It happens sometimes with all sports teams.
In fairness theres not many times in the last year where ive thought they lacked effort, last night though was one of those times.

Think you are 100% wrong, it’s a major point. In the play off win v Wigan we just got away with it because Wigan offered nothing on attack. Fast forward to last night and again it was clear the game plan was give them back the ball near the corner, I know the weather was bad but we should be trying to score tries when 10 yards from their line.
