See Coach saying more injuries from weekend so heaven knows who will be on coach north. Do Skolars have anymore we can nick?

Why are we getting so many injuries in early season ? Bad luck or bad preparation ?

As for injuries. Hughes decisions to make us part time, hire a part time team coach who employs his mates and therefore decimate the other London semi-pro outfit should be alarming the RFL...but Hughes will not take the blame for everything that he has undoubtedly caused.

I'm guessing Parata and possibly Bienek are out. Maybe Grant but the comments would suggest not him. If so two of the "better" players this season? Might mess up the possibility of Gahan playing half back?

Taking the club comments at face value is that stating the following were unavailable yesterday:
Ulberg, Ferreira, Albert, Gahan, Williams, Palumbo, Coates, Ramsey, M Greenhalgh, Allen, B Leyland, J Greenhalgh, and Howarth.

The remaining 17 selecting themselves. Would half of those missing even have been selected if available? Presumably Ulberg, Ferreira, Albert, and Gahan would be first choice. Williams, Palumbo, and Coates possibly considered.

Yes that is the most cogent game plan we’ll hear this week. I agree let’s go with that. Unlikely to score anyway.

Yes I think it’s Bienek and Parata too who picked up knocks. From what I’ve seen Grant wouldn’t be one of our better players.
Howarth, Allen and B Leyland are kids. If they play this season that would be problematical. Albert is experienced but injured. Ulberg and Gahan are players it will be interesting to see. Ferreira is a starter, Williams on the bench. Ramsey we haven’t seen yet. Coates is thought be promising but his USP is goal kicking - you’ll recall he missed all his chances against Widnes.
So basically this 13 unavailable line is eye wash.

Yes Parata and Bienek were the two I thought looked good. Parata looked good against Widnes, although more conspicuous yesterday. Problem is my untrained eye sees the standout moments and not all the less noticeable work, so the difference between Parata in the two games probably wasn't as much as I saw.

I think Ramsey was on the bench at Halifax, so I'd assume he got on at some point. Unseen at Plough Lane of course.

Oh I absolutely did notice Coates kicking attempts against Widnes, to say they were poor would be overly generous. Only one was hard, the easier two attempts he never gave a chance. I wondered if he was dropped yesterday, but the reports suggest he was ruled out.
