I think Sky and the BBC could have added some context to the headlines on that.
Whilst shouting anything negative at a kid of 7 is unacceptable, it isn't what is being assumed by thousands of people on Twitter. It's being reported a 7 year old was subject to vile racist abuse and I've seen tweets from America, South Africa and BLM activists about it and football/Union fans piling in on the sport and league fans piling in on Saints as a club, both an unfair reflection I feel.
The lad is a white English lad who went to the game as he supports Catalans. His parent/s posted on twitter about it, confirming there were a few comments but they couldn't identify the culprit. They reported it to the stewards who they said dealt with it well and tried to reassure the lad. Hopefully the club can investigate and deal with those responsible, but if not hopefully they stay away in future. I'd like to think if anyone knows who it was they can provide those details to Saints.
