I keep saying to people that I want to see them for a couple of months before having any confidence last season wasn’t a one off. Catalans teams have flattered do deceive in the past and their big money imports don’t always mean success.

First games of the season are never easy to draw conclusions from, but on that showing I think it's safe to say that Saints won't have as much to worry about this season from Catalan as they did last. Unimpressed so far by the Dragon's new cadre of stars (but yes, it's early days).

Not proven as consistent title challengers - they'll clearly be a threat but not the certs for the top 2 that some have made out.
Saints exceptional. They've made consistently good decisions over a long period of time getting the right people in place, outclassing the decision makers at other clubs including our own. Not just talking player and coach recruitment but the scouting of academy players and their strength and conditioning recruitment.
