Yet, here we are and Boris Johnson is still Prime Minister. Stupidity, selfishness and dishonesty are not always major barriers to political success. Trump and Johnson have made them assets though, finding a following among a surprisingly large demographic who admire and revel in their vices, and call it patriotism.
