Leigh or Featherstone......last year was Toulouse of Featherstone......time before was Toronto of Featherstone......the other 12 clubs won't be close. Owners of Championship clubs, Derek the deck boy aside, put in enough to keep the lights on......superleague would cripple most of them.

Superleague games on FTA was a no.brqiner and should have been written into broadcast rights 2 decades ago.

I'll applaud them when they do something cutting edge that's not designed to circle the wagons....

If you want to compare Leeds v Wigan to Batley v Whitehaven by all means go ahead, but I'll stick with the top tier and the second tier...neither which are very super at present.

On that we can agree. What the top teams fail to realise is that we aren't football....there isn't the depth of support for the game at grass roots and without central funding, the game will contract further.

Are you worrying about Wakey
Been there, done that, got the T shirt, hence starting the thread. Clearly, plenty of notice should be given to any major changes in format, especially if this means culling clubs from the comp (in any league).

Sorry for not replying sooner, the idiot troll "orangeman (etc)" above put me off bothering...................
It will be interesting to see if the loss of TV money has any great effect at the top. Certainly the lower divisions have taken a big hit, and you can expect Superleague to sacrifice the lower clubs for the top clubs all day long.
Restructure at the top? No. No league one in a year or two - maybe..........
Hope your clubs ground improvements give a new impetus to the club........

Idiot? Troll? My my Donnyboy.....you don't half fit right into the stereotypical flat cap northern monkey bracket.....anything outside your bus-pass not to be trusted. As a southern fan of RL, who has lamented the decline of RL as a tie 1 sport, I find it incredulous that moth eaten attitudes like yours still persist....Superleague to your average sports fan in England now is Women's Soccer, whilst there's still only 1 rugby code that attracts bumper viewing figures come Feb/March.....but you'd be happy so long as you can get home from an away game in time for your supper

Poor Donnyman, he’s having a really hard time, 2 x french teams in super league and Catalan have a new Tv deal.
Its people like him with his constantly calling everyone a troll who does not fit their agenda that have made killed this forum and turned it into the equivalent of the BDO Darts.
10 clubs will be boring, why do I or any other punter want to see Wire play Castleford or Hull KR 3 times a season (4 if there's a CC fixture, 5 if we make the playoffs and happen to meet them)?
No offence to those clubs, I could have picked any two.
Most exciting season I remember had 16 teams in it. Why not bring back the Featherstones, the Leighs, the Sheffields and so on and create some variety? I've heard the argument about there not being enough quality players, give them a few years in the top flight and they'd compete.

There isnt enough money in the game for a 16 team division.

I think nearly all fans will agree with you here, but owners of the SL clubs won't want to share the reduced SKY money more ways. Leigh and Featherstone would be great additions both clubs are well backed and work very hard year on year at trying to get into/established in Superleague. Must go before you know who turns up again.....

So, the self appointed troll hunter who has killed the forum gets called out and immediately incorrectly call out yet another poster, purely for a differing opinions.... It's a real shame, because there used to be real debate here....
