2.1K was a great start, nobody is denying that :)
But the proof in the pudding as they say will be after 5 or 6 matches, how many home fans will return for £22 instead of the £1.

My concern now is that DH and team will say look we got 2.1K and then sit back and do nothing, instead of realising that the hard work starts now, get those 1.5K home fans back for the Haven game. They have to target at least 1.5K for Haven otherwise the 2.1K figure will soon be forgotten

I think its fair to congratulate the club on 2.1k, higher than I anticipated.

I couldn't make it - family emergency on the day but reports little / nothing was done to assist newbies in the sport are concerning and will make persuading people to return harder.

As has been noted the gate is one step on a journey. It's now irrelevant. The Haven gate is now the key one. Fingers crossed

It'd be interesting to know what the general impression Dons fans got yesterday.
Only get one chance to make a good first impression - I wonder if we did?

I think they did enough to get some Dons fans back as long as the games at priced at £1 for them. The crunch is when they remove that offer, how many will come back for £22

The on field product is crucial but there’s not much more we can say about that but Man of Kent made a few decent observations on the other forum that I think might be worth Broncos management considering.
In addition to sorting out his PA if we pay for an expert announcer he should be given the chance to do more that just say today’s squad is mumble , mumble and the scorer was mumble. There should be something at half time to build atmosphere and buy in.
The music played before the match was not lively or loud and didn’t build excitement -one area where Trailfinders was superior in my opinion.

There was very little Broncos presence- no programmes (that was a missed opportunity), no merchandise, no branding. Perhaps they could. Have some sort of presence at the main entrance- Dusty and Buck? Some non playing players with stickers mini flags whatever for the kids.
It’s a loss leader but I’d stick with the cheap £1-£5 tickets for Dons fans. A decent crowd does generate some positive energy which is much needed but ,ultimately, we do need to strengthen the squad to fit with the new dawn policy.

I'm amazed they didn't have merchandise on sale. Isn't that one employees raison d'etre ?

Gus Mackay we salute you!!

24 hours after our latest new dawn & from the website you wouldn't know we'd played a game. Very little on Twitter either but you might have thought they'd trumpet it a bit more. Maybe it comes under the heading of "marketing" which we all know is an anathema to Broncos.

Only so many “Fantastic news Titanic sold out..........sadly hit an iceberg and sank” announcements possible. Let’s see what team we can put out against Haven. Hopefully they’ll have learnt something and we can be more competitive.

Dont be daft......they think they've done the "marketing" and now it's back slapping time because as we all know 1 swallow definitely makes a spring 8)
To the poster who referenced the group of fans girls brought by an Aussie, I remember similar talk after the WCC games......to the poster who bemoaned the lack of merchandise, we have little stock until it's ordered, highlighting the faith monkey has in us being able to create and maintain interest, to the PA announcer......sort it out, to the Management, at least attempt to print team sheets.
If the dons fans are getting in for a quid for Whitehaven......I'd print 500 programmes and flog them for a tenner with a one off t-shirt with a catchy slogan.........something naff like commenting on odd shape balls in dons colours.
As you say......nothing on the website is a worry. Should have had a match report written by the time the lads were out if the showers and everyone who attended and gave a phone number should of had a text by 6pm thanking them for their attendance.
Maybe our social media guru had double science.homework :CURTAIN:

If I wasn't daft, I wouldn't have spent the last 42 years supporting the Club.
