Seems the best lapsed fans to attract would be the ones 20 minutes away....seems any locals picked up in Barnet or Ealing aren't of interest....maybe if the club ran a coach for a tenner from trailfinders they might get back some kudos?
Reality is the club have gone all in here........personally, it would be 90 minutes each way if I lived in the UK.....I'd be picking and choosing games and if that is what a lot of existing fans are doing, then they need locals and lots of them......and as I've pointed out, there is already a top flight egg chasing side 20 minutes away and newbies won't differentiate......
Parking is extremely limited so that cuts out cars. You also have to take account of sunday reduced rail services, and waiting time for trains. For us switching from car to Ealing, to train => tube => bus to PL, it went from door to door 20 mins to almost 2 hours. You then work out a £5 parking fee (one car) say £5 in petrol vs about £60 on public transport (3 people), and you can see the impact to us.
I do apologise if the Parking has been sorted, as I don't subscribe to LB anymore, and did not buy a ST this year, I'm not on the communication loop with the club (not blocked by them I hasten to add, I just did not subscribe to them any more)
