He’s ridden his narcissistic, ‘I’m exceptional’ philosophy all the way to the top, pushing it so far that he assumed it had no bounds (I was starting to wonder!) and suddenly it isn’t working.
For those posters with a more generous view of Johnson and Cummings, which of them do you tend to believe in this situation?
Tbf to Cummings, he should have been finished after his jolly to Durham and Barnard Castle.
The fact that he was allowed to carry on seemed to indicate that, for whatever reason, Boris needed him close by.
Some though thet it may have been his vision and ideas that kept him in his post but, it seems more likely that he had too much info about his boss and this would certainly seem to be the case now.
As for Boris "not knowing" that the gathering was against the rules and possibly breaking the law, really??
It's staggering that he believes this may count as some kind of defence and does he always take his wife to "business meetings", it beggars belief and quite rightly, nobody (aside from his nodding dog ministers) is letting him off the hook.
He has been "mis-speaking" for all of his tenure at No 10 and after so many let offs with "it's just how he is", hopefully, the lying PM will get his marching orders, although, I'd be happy for him to mortally would his party first.
