Kear looks to have improved

So how did we play? How did the halves link up? And how were the new lads?

Positives - Patton, Jowitt and Gill in particular. When we moved through the hands we looked dangerous. Kear looked more assured at the back but it he wasn't put under a lot of pressure. He took his try well. Jowitt had a really good game in attack and defence. Patton was total class. Gill showed some good speed for his interception and really good hands to put DFJ in for a brace.

Negatives - we didn't look so good in defence in the first half at times and struggled to handle Brad Fash who looks like a good player.

Hard to judge as we were playing a very young Hull team but you can only beat what's in front of you.

Agree with what's been said. Nicol scored the try of the game. Thought Brough might have put in an appearance to say a few words as the game was for his testimonial (maybe he was in for his op). Hope the drainage on the track is completed and the track rolled for the Leeds game. It looks terrible as it is.

Brough was in hospitality and gave an interview in there after the game, but yes it would have been nice if he’d appeared on the pitch at some point to say something.
Totally agree about the track, it’s awful. I’m guessing the roadwork barriers that have appeared are something to do with drainage work. Really hope it works.
