I think the pricing probably hasn’t helped. Although I think £15 for a friendly is fair enough, advertising Halifax and Batley for £15 seems steep when Leeds is £10 albeit that’s a deal for the game.
Bills are flying up at the moment and we play batley early ish in the season so I think many will (hopefully) be waiting for the season to start proper

From Kear's interview it sounds as if everyone will get a run out before the first league game. I expect these games will see us try and bed in the Patton/Jowitt partnership amongst other things.
Not sure where Horner came from. He didn't get long enough on the field to show much.

And thank you all for your replies. Sounds like how I expected the first friendly to go. Main thing is the lads got back out there and got some minutes into their legs.
England is still recovering from his operation at the end of last season. You’re correct, it hasn’t been mentioned, very little is. Kibula and Miller were interviewed in hospitality before Sundays game and both confirmed they are out injured.

There is a young lad in the Scholarship team called Horner. I doubt it’s him. An Adam Horner played for Castleford academy a couple of years ago. I’m guessing it’s him, although I obviously don’t know for certain. I can’t help but wonder why the club can’t just tell us who he is. It doesn’t seem an unreasonable request from supporters.

To be honest if he’s a trialists it Dosent bother me so much that they don’t tell us anything they did that with Jamie Pye and he ended up leaving anyway so Dosent bother me really I’m only assuming he’s from the academy as he does have a sponsor I think?

Fair enough. To each his own. Personally, if someone is representing us, even if only as a triallist then I’m interested in knowing a little bit about who they are, it just seems a basic bit of communication the club should provide. I don’t suppose it matters in the great scheme of things, what with pandemics and war’s going on, just a preference of mine. You may be right and he’s a Bulls academy product. It would be nice if the club publicised that if that’s the case.

TBH I was pleasantly surprised that we announced all the subs yesterday. There's been plenty of friendlies in the past where we haven't bothered at all and you're left wondering who's on the pitch by the end.

The sea of deep, cloying red mud that surrounds what is now a small pitch is a depressing sight.I understand the need to accommodate motor sport but surely between us all we can do better than this? It’s not a good look, to say the least. I’m guessing the crowd was in three figures, a worrying development. Lots of people on social media wanting updates but hardly anyone in the stadium. Hopefully the ten quid tickets and the visit of Leeds will reverse this trend.
Sounds very reminiscent of my last visit, I sat in the main stand and ended up filthier than some of the players on the pitch. I’ve a bit more spare time this year to attend some games but I won’t be taking the family whilst it remains like that.
Why do we not learn from past mistakes, Why do we run with 3 or 4 hookers and only 2 halves, same stories every sodding season, and cover ups with players injuries, might be better run by good old boris Johnson hahaha, atleast you know when he is lying lol
