During the 1970s I worked at Reckitt and Colman at their Wilmington factory. In 1976 during my last month there I got to know a charge hand who worked in a large warehouse. He told me some bizarre tales about things that had happened when he was on the night shift, and always when he was on his own. Others who knew him told me that he was quite sane and always consistent with his tales which could not easily be dismissed.. Since then I have written six novels all set against a strong rugby league background. (More details on my web site http://www.geofflee.net.) I am now thinking of writing one more and am looking round for stories from my past. I know that 1976 is a long time ago but is there anybody still around who worked at Reckitt's then or had relatives who worked there then and who can shed any light on what might lead to an unusual story line for me. Much of the content in my novels is inspired by the old saying about work that "They could write a book about this place. It would be a best seller" The two other firms I also worked at then in Hull were Blue Circle Cement where nothing interesting ever happened and Myson Radiators. where plenty did.

It would be a best seller."[/b]
