Will there be automatic promotion to the all new Super, Super League at the end of next season, even if we go to the 2 x 10 nonsense that has been muted.
If so, it would be a good time to gain a spot in the top flight, albeit, even more difficult for ANY promoted club to survive in what would be a more competitive league.

Not that it is relevant here in any way, but do you recall how George Flanagan was banned for 10 games exclusively based on the word of a Feth player who was heard to say "I've got you now" and despite there being no video evidence even though it was a televised game?

Why do you ask?

There's no doubt the 2x10 was real as far as it has been a debated option, and as far as it has been rejected some time back and as far as it has been on the agenda again, but again with no agreement and many vehemently against it. It's possible original purpose, to give Superleague power over the game with 2x10 votes in the bag, that could have seen the 20 clubs take all the SKY money, didn't happen, and the general acceptance that if 2x10 creates another rift between the RLF and SL this will be generally damaging, including the idea that the government don't deal with, and therefore financially won't support a split sport.

When 2x10 was a real threat many people were oblivious to it even though a vote was held and lost........

Now it's a dead duck it appears to have caught the interest of a number of posters on here and especially on the "other side" at TRL.

I don't know why this is. It's not as if it's even possible to go through a full 2022 season and then decide to relegate two clubs and deny Leigh promotion.

The subject is Fantasyland now, but maybe the Leigh detractors like to keep the idea alive Uncle Derek will again be thwarted

If they do go for a 2x10 structure, instead of having them as 2 separate divisions, why not have an American style structure where the team plays every team in their division home and away, and then plays the the teams in the other division once (5 home, 5 away). Top 2 teams in each division play each other to determine who goes through to the GF. It gets rid of the loop fixtures whilst also giving the clubs approximately the right amount of home games they need to break even.
