Like I said a while back I thought his race was run. That s a very good gig for him. Let’s hope we now belatedly wish him all the best. He also got married recently. It would have been a nice touch to congratulate him and wish him all the best at that stage but better late than never.

Might also be a good weigh point to offer some clarity to fans on what exactly our back room staff situation/ make-up is.

I'd reckon Sammut on one leg would still be better than most in the 2nd tier.
I can't see us being able to ever attract a player of his quality again unless we find a new funding source, but what's more annoying is the lack of activity from the RFL to protect those clubs in the lower divisions from losing their academy prospects for no fiscal return.
Given the Lobsters trade is financials, let's hope that academy players are locked into the club with release clauses for those that want to head north costing a few thousand. The RFL can't simply cut the throats of the lower tiers at the bequest of the big boys and then offer us no protection from being scalped too....
...has anyone compiled a list of London trained players now plying their trade in the north? Kai Pearce-Paul is a prime example....nicked by Wigan and now Lenagan is whining about the cost of keeping him. His younger brother is at Salarysins apparently....let's hope the game sees the bigger picture or we risk our best going north or worse, to the dark side.

In other news, Whitehaven seem to have no issue with announcing antipodean signings, with the Dolphins half Alex Bishop announced.......have to say, struggling with why anyone would choose cumbria over London other than if they were a hill-walker?
