Great to see Scurr signed up, the two year deal is a nice bonus if we manage to hold onto him for those two years. Long term his future probably isn't at Bradford but I feel he has plenty of development in him that can be realised with us, so win win for both parties.

Very good news indeed is that.

Fantastic news to keep Scurr as similar to others I thought he would be off to super league.

Great to keep him for two years aswell. At least we can secure a transfer fee should he have a stonking year and we can’t hold off the super league interest again.

So who does that leave from last years squad that we haven’t heard about?

Hallas rumoured to Newcastle? Rooks?

Any more rumours on incomings?

John Davidson on Twitter(link behind paywall) says we are after Ryan Hampshire and likely to sign for us.

I'd be surprised if we get Hampshire but if we did he'd be a great option for fullback or either halfback position. I'd move Lilley to hooker to share duties with Doyle.

Retaining Scurr gives us a lot more punch up front and is the first time we've retained one of our better prospects in I don't know how many years. As has been said it's only 2 years but it's a positive sign.

As people have said it’s a massive coup to re sign him, the fact that’s it’s two years is the icing on the cake and the club need commending for this IMO. It would have been dead easy for Scurr to take a one yr deal and then discuss SL again so to tie Him down for 2 is great news. Well done the much maligned Nigel Wood

Let's not ruin it by bringing him into it. We've had plenty of previous owners make signings and it hasn't worked out so well in the long run. I'll need some years of stability before I begin to start singing his praises. But it is a good start and a great signing.
