Blackies Club’s takings in Brough will take a serious nose dive.
What were Sneyd's off field issues? Strikes me as being a good Dad and loves walking his dogs?
In terms of him going, perhaps the club have a big target identified for 2023, told him he wasn't getting renewed and if he could find a club this year, then we must have known we could get someone to cover us for a year.
If we get Gale and Hampshire for Sneyd - then that for me is a definite bonus. Gale is the better 7 out of him and Sneyd - attacks the line, kicking isn't too shabby and stronger defensively. It is just that injury worry - but Savelio got over his, maybe Gale just needs a fresh outlook
I'm quite surprised that his off field behaviour is a factor in him going. He doesn't strike me as being a problem in that respect, but like the vast majority of us on here we haven't got a clue what goes on.
If it is a Gale and Reynolds combination it makes sense bringing in Hampshire because those two are massive injury risks. If the reports are correct maybe that's why Hampshire hasn't signed a new deal with Trinity.
I wish him well for the future. Certainly had his critics but I doubt very much we'd have won the Cup in 2016 or 2017 without him. Then there's numerous games won by drop goal such as Catalans away a couple of years back.
I'm nervous about Gale given his injury record but for a season and with a bit of luck he could do a job for us.
Things are definitely being shaken uo at the club which after four years of disappointments is no bad thing.

Agree with most of that but Savelio was a lot younger than Gale when he was picking up injuries. With Gale lets hope it's not going to be a Long and Dykes signing.

We have been crying out for changes for the last few years and credit to the club for finally addressing this.

Maybe Gale has been brought in to aid Hookem's development.. I wouldve been surprised to see Sneyd, get a contract renewal here at the end of the upcoming season. Sneyd will be 31 soon, 3 year deal, and closer to his family home, no brainer for him..
