We are only on the 2nd November!
If the club are doing visa applications and not using an immigration lawyer they deserve to wait years..... I suppose they could say they are waiting to see exactly what's at stake in 2022 before signing anyone?
On November 2nd 2008, I shared a few too many beers with Karl Temata in the Walkabout on The Bush. He'd been up all night and was having a last hurrah, watching England get walloped at the RLWC.....it was a Sunday morning.....he was due at Training/Registration the following day and it was his intention to get home to bed by Noon to stand any chance of not looking like a train wreck on day 1 back at the office.
This was when we were a proper professional club.....
I really do wish you'd stop apologising for the shambles we have become

Don't think some! realise how many Civil Servants are still working from Home! here in the UK, using a Lawyer or not! will not deliver aa miracle, I have done everything possible to get my driving licence renewed!
As a former Government Official, nothing surprises me. My far superior half sent off her licence to update address & got new photo licence back in 4 days. My old Department would still be deciding whose turn to get the tea it was. Some miracles clearly do happen.

Yes a neighbour said the same, I did mine online, but this is my fist plastic driving licence, but it is not acceptable! I was reading some people who have retired and starting on Government pension, are waiting over 2 to 3 months for their first payment? Civil Servants do not want to return to offices, but with DLVA being based in Wales, restrictions for offices seem tighter, my licence expired at the start of September last year! but they extended the end date 11 months longer, but from the 18th July online, is getting a little silly now! I check every day online, this morning still saying, in progress lol

I don't know if things have improved since the Summer.
Rise like Lions after slumber In unvanquishable number-- Shake your chains to earth like dew Which in sleep had fallen on you-- Ye are many -- they are few.'

The simple answer is NO! I received a letter from the DLVA today, confirming they did receive my application on the 18th July online, and that is still not ready to be sent out, the manager admitted, The DLVA have high standards, but they accept in my case they have not kept that standard, and finished, we do not know as presently when it will be ready to send out.
But I feel more for the people have retired this year, and are still to receive their first pension payment from the Government.
