Nearly a whole week and no new signings. Leigh will be quaking in their boots. Odds on we announce x number of juniors being given 1st team contracts tomorrow.

Hope he has better luck with injuries, seemed to be a true talent at one time, but not looking Super League standard, wonder what some of these clubs are offering? do they have sponsors who will give them easy role employment?

Yes you could see he was a decent player but Covid and injuries meant he didn’t really get a run of games and become as dominant as he might have been. On players moving- The one I really can’t get is Hodson. He was one of our better Academy signings so you would have thought we’d want to retain him but he was no way the finished article so difficult to see why he was poached. He comes from the Midlands so there were no family ties drawing him to Yorkshire. Why move to Batley who must also be part time and aren’t going to get promoted. Did his agent have an ‘in’ there? Did Batley offer more cash? Did he think Broncos was going to become a disaster area? If it’s either of the latter 2 that’s not great.
My money is on Josh is doing something academically and is using RL to fund his studies. Cheaper to live and more options RL wise to keep him employed for three years up north, it would make sense to move.
My parents live in Newport, Josh's home town. It's noted for Adam's Grammar School, which has links to Newport RFC where he learnt to play before joining Telford RL. If he went to Adam's, it's likely he's a bright lad
Adam's Grammar don't like to talk about it but their most famous recent(ish) old boy is one Jeremy Corbyn.

That’s interesting. Leeds Metro seems to be the go to Uni for RL players and Batley is in the wider Leeds area I think so that would make sense.

Why should they be ashamed of having a former Labour Party leader as an old boy?
