You carry on being woke buddy. If you think I mean disrespect to the miners who stood shoulder to shoulder with in the 80's, then so be it, but the reality is we now have 2 French sides, 6 from Yorkshire(s) 3 from Manchester an a Merseyside team......to us southern softies, you're all pit villages
Only time I've ever been in handcuffs was at Cresswell in 1984 and I'll tell my grandchildren I was proud to be there and arrested....not bad for cowardly tw@.....
Worth remembering that without those "pit villages" there wouldn't be ANY Rugby League

Oh FFS...... The reality is that a few nother Mill/Pit owners got the booty with a few wealthy bankers and the game split.....one continued the sham, the other was open and paid players....126 years later, which group won the debate? We are southern poofters and you are northern monkeys....it's called banter
edit: I vividly remember Wakefield fan coming to Griffin Park dressed in WWII gear......i remember thinking that it was a great thing that away fans could make a day of it with no fear of violence...it's what makes RUGBY great.....

The point stands that, without the pit villages and the breakaway, there would not be a sport called rugby league.
And, yes, Trinity fans always made an occasion of the London away fixture, glad you enjoyed it.
Feel sorry for Fev, doing everything so well off and on the field, they deserve a spot in the SL, as they tick nearly every box, but that should be at the expense of Wakefield who untick most boxes, the game does not need 3 top flight teams in the Wakefield met, if franchising comes in Fev should be ahead if Wakey and even Cas slightly.
Great to have another French club in the top flight, long overdue, ideally get 2 more in championship next few years as a long term strategy to boost the game over there.

Money? Catalan and Toulouse have wealthy backers, so before we rush to et the next French side in, they need to find the moneymen. As Donnyman will tell you, French RL isn't all about Catalan and Toulouse....the game at grass roos level is struggling....I would rather that Catalan continue to use their Elite 1 club to recruit good french talent.....same with toulouse, but I really would like to see them both lift trophies in the next coupe of years....it would be epic for the games profile down there

And message boards aren't all about trolling around with five identities Ismir Tabby Warrington etc........Your made up story about your grand final visit was a howler.

So if Franchising comes in for the Superleague next season when the new Lower SKY deal clicks in who do you think the member clubs of Superleague will pick to be in the same league with them??
I would certainly think Toulouse and les Catalans will be first picks if they have a well paying French TV deal and are turning out SL quality French players.
My favourite is Remy Casty who is a superstar and legend of the game - look forward to seeing him play here next season..........

I agree with all of this. Fev should be in at the expense of Wakefield for sure
