The lowest attendances for the final are Wigan.v.Leeds (43,533) and Saints.v.Bradford (50,717) so the attendance is likely to not be an issue at all. Even if it was supposedly low then COVID remains a valid reason. In many venues especially theatre up to 20% of people with tickets booked long ago decide not to take up their seats

Bradford and Leeds were averaging 13.000 crowds at the time of those low attendances so little excuse.

the problem for me is the venue - now i know old Trafford is this wonderful stadium - and what im going to say is sacrilege but its damn uncomfortable in many of the seats and there's a poor view in the cheap ones. I've attended twice - once to see my own team play there and once as a neutral and i couldn't wait to get out of the place as a neutral, and it has honestly put me off - id more than likely attend if it was at the Etihad - but perhaps that's just me.

The extensions were in phases over a few years but it appears they didn't sell out for the first two Superleague finals, when the capacity was 55,000.....

I suppose there's an argument the event was new then, and yet to build, I just thought I'd give Les Cats some support here, I'm not a fan of the silly stuff about France being the future of the game and wasn't a fan of Les Catalans closing their academy and signing Folau, but I am supportive of the club's better attitude this year and don't think they should get a hammering on the crowd level, even the RFL gave them that in 2018 when they won the cup at Wembley.
