Surprisingly I am not too disappointed with the outcome.



I thought we played really well and competed until the end.



I think to drag the referee in as a scapegoat isn't totally fair.

I was pretty drunk, but don't recall making an issue of any refereeing decisions.

The petty parochialism is very off-putting. And I guess as - for want of a better phrase - an outsider, you probably notice it more than maybe I do. Or certainly see it in a broader context than "oh it's always been like that".



I guess we do have to consider what the end-game here is. Is it for a proper full-time comp in France? What this does is open pathways up for young players. We can have one team playing in France every week and over time increase the visibility of the game. But I feel the nature of French RL - largely small clubs in tiny villages - doesn't necessarily lend itself to a full-time comp.

Sincere congratulations on a great season, its a shame you fell just a few points short in the final.
