Wardle will offer us cover in the pack and at centre. He won't be on mega bucks either. He's an honest player who is hard as nails. Admittedly though his injury history is a concern.

Scurr is one of most sought after talents in the Championship.

Add these 2, plus the overseas forward we've apparently signed and the pack is set.

Hampshire should be on our radar too. Plus a hooker but unless players leave were a bit hamstrung

Scurr looks a talent. I spoke to someone at the club earlier this year about him, and they had watched him a lot, but were concerned about his lateral movement in defence (great hitter front on, but lateral defending he struggled) and his fitness to do back to back rather than 1 strong drive then he is 5hagged.

Should start making them shorter and incentive based

As far as I'm aware Super League has quite strict rules on win bonuses, try scoring bonuses etc, but I do agree on the length of contracts need to have a 2 year maximum aside from exceptional circumstances like a young player who is of international standard

I'm sure I read somewhere he's a Leeds lad, I'd imagine they would be his preference. We'll obviously face competition from a few clubs

Hopefully we can land him and it turns out better than Bienek. With Brown too we'd have 2 of the brightest front row talents.

Satae, Sao, Taylor, Quota Prop, Fash, Brown, Scurr looks a bit more balanced than what we have at the minute

Rumours of Masi getting a new deal too

.... don't forget the reserves are supposed to be back next year.

Is Hodgson the new Griffin, or is it all about pace?

With Masi its a tough one, not fulfilling any of the potential he has so far doesn't help nor does his injury record over the last 2 seasons. For me I would be reluctant to give him another deal personally, though could possibly see a 1 year deal that reflects the fact he hasn't played much in 2 seasons as I wouldn't expect him to be a big hit in terms of cap space.

I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

Masi might be worth a cheap one year deal, to give BH an opportunity to work with him and see if he can be developed.

Kenny-Dowell is a good example of this. Terrible last year but suddenly rediscovered his form when his contract was about to expire.

He wasn't terrible last year just playing in a well beaten side and he came with big expectations, add to that , along with most overseas players landing last year, he came to England in a year of massive pandemic disruption and settling into the country with families etc mustve been a nightmare. The number of overseas player who hit the ground running are in the minority.
He was the scapegoat for a lot of fans last year and it was pretty unjustified in my view

I wouldn't be retaining Masi unfortunately. He's not progressed at the rate we all hoped he would. He's a big guy, but doesn't run his weight. See Wayne Mcdonald, David Mills, Ian Kirke...

I cant imagine Josh Eaves will be kept on by Saints. Young hooker but don't know too much about him

Scurr is the type of signing we should be making, worked out well with Storton, Bentley, Bateman and Whitehead, Bradford seem really good at producing players especially forwards.

Ability wise I like Joe Wardill, offers good cover at backrow and centre, but his injury reckon is a worry, averages about 14 games a season last few years. Although if it was to replace Fonua I'd be happy.
