It seems its not just words from AP this time around with an apparent intent to clear out and make changes with players being offered to other clubs. I would imagine that BH will have had a big say as to who those players are, he has seen and worked with them all and will know without doubt who is prepared to push for that extra 1% for the team and who isn't. Certainly be interesting to see what develops in the close season in terms of player outgoings and incomings.
Its clear that the club is not getting anywhere near value for money from the current playing squad and since Motu left we have ended up once again with an unbalanced squad.
I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

Really hope you’re right. I suppose the difference could be that this time a (relatively) new coach is involved, who has a more detached view.

AP in the past has said things when his emotions are high as although he's the owner he's as passionate as us the fans and feels the pain and probably more so in terms of outlay etc. Though previously I don't recall these actions being taken and do feel this was due in part to the current coach at the time.
I remember BH wanted to change the ethos and mentality and said its about the extra 1% from each player to give to the team. I think he has given the whole squad the opportunity to show what they are made of and sadly as is all too familiar as the pressure builds we just capitulate towards the end of a season.
As you say BH has a relatively detached view which will help him look objectively and advise AP on what needs to be done.

Think realistically, I'd say Bowden and Johnstone will be the two most movable players. Both have wages that other clubs may be able to fit into their budgets, whereas Fonua wage is ridiculous.
Also Hodgson will of no doubt identified hooker and Prop as two properties to improve, so common sense says you move players on who are surplus in these positions.
I think we l have enough cap currently to be able to sign a player or we have signed 1 but not announced, if we can move bowden/Johnstone I'd expect those 2s combined wage would allow us to sign another decent standard player for the pivots

Saints are the bench mark, they have won two grand finals, the cup this year and have a great chance of winning the GF again this year.
But they dont sit on this and keep the same squad, they freshen it up, release older players on big contracts and bring in new overseas players and trust their youth players to fill other positions and their squad.
