FFS. We’ve replaced a young guy used to coming 2nd or 3rd from bottom of L1 with another guy whose used to managing a team coming second or third from bottom of L1
Without being too snide they can’t have been too good though. Latu looks nailed on to come back. His brother Jy Mel as well. On the plus side he has managed quite a few of our players this year on loan. Albeit managed them to losses. I’m struggling to see this as a positive step not withstanding the praise given to his interview style. I have it in mind he is a school teacher so I assume he like the team will be part time. I hadn’t really understood that would be the case.
Has nobody told him the fantastic young players he is looking forward to working with are likely to be off at the end of the season (or at least a good few of them)?
In 2020 we sign a young, promising, bright manager with experience managing an unfashionable L1 side. In truth the side didn’t do well but he is well thought of. Additionally he has a modern approach to societal issues that is very much in tune with multi- cultural London. In 2021 we get shot of him and replace with a guy that has an almost identical CV. The only difference is TT went into head of youth and Coleman goes straight into the top job. On what basis? Seemingly a good interview where he talked about the merits of brining on young Londoners. What players has he brought on? What successes has he had on the field? It very difficult to see this as anything but disappointing.
