What the plan is that will cause promotion to be a realistic possibility will presumably be revealed in these top secret minutes. Or perhaps not

If they reveal the Top Secret minutes, the will have to kill you & that would be 1 less fan! :(

The club's thinking seems far from joined up. If the move was driven by a desire for a return to SL, why is this combined with a switch to part time and the weakest squad will we likely ever have seen at the club.

Gus Mackay we salute you!!

Agreed Buzz it makes no sense at all, unless Orange is right & we get a spot in the 20 on location, development & ground (wimbledon) reasons.

AFC have had a really good start to the season so that might limit interest in us by their fans.

I don't think we need to worry about SL promotion. Champ relegation in the other hand...

Depressing this Monday morning to read what Ralph Rimmer thinks! 'Standing Still is Not an Option' hasn't Ralph himself taken us Backwards as a Sport! since he took over tenure as CEO? and his predecessor was also a complete failure! both paid over the top excessive salaries. Just look who is on the panel to take us forward! Gary Hetherington & Eamon McManus, neither fill me with any confidence! No wonder they are afraid of Eddie Hearn, who delivers more money, that the rest have had Hot Dinners!

Two Pages of interview from media, with Ralph Rimmer, and all of he replied with is Complete Flannel, his response re London Broncos, the6 are Third Party Owned, we can't influence, London Academy, we have put in a lot of support not One Word about how the Best are always Creamed off to the Northetn Clubs, rarely any Transfer Fee.

Martin Sadler, says make your own decisions about Rimmet! Yes he's hopeless and clueless!

I mean, the invitation was penned in a manner that the authors wanted to be steered, yet one of the key points that was going to be raised was the "LACK OF COMMUNICATION"....yet 2 weeks down the track, nothing, nada, zilch.

So, this points to them not wanting to hear anyone's thoughts at all.

The move to Wimbledon is on, so as the club announce that we are losing about £200,000 in funding, we're going to pay for a ground, a training facility and god knows what else and move away from a ground we couldn't even fill in Superleague.
I have just re-read the 2020 end of year statement from the CEO, trying to justify the move to Wimbledon as it was required for SL, but given we are going to head into 2022 with absolutely no chance of promotion, why are they pressing ahead with it? Why not stay at Trailfinders and explore the opportunity to hire a 10,000 seat stadium 4 or 5 times if we were to hit the top flight?
Superleague have not one iota of a chance of denying London a SL place should they win promotion. Given some of the holes they currently allow teams to play in, trailfinders is fit for our needs......I watched the highlights of the wire salford game earlier.....the empty concrete terracing for a derby of 2 sides less than 20 miles apart....so the question remains is why are they pressing ahead.

The RFLs fixation on ground size is bizarre for a sport (a) with so many other big problems to address, (b) where the biggest clubs get only circa 10k, (c) where any idiot can see that a reasonably full cricket ground looks at least as good as an empty big stadium and where London is an important strategic area that could do with a bit of flexible thinking or even assistance. As you say if they are desperate we could book a ground for a match to be shown on Sky, We’d take a bit of a financial bath but not the £100k minimum we are looking at renting PL plus the costs of the 2 training grounds-£75k?
Mind if we stay at ET we still need urgent marketing etc because we have run the whole match day experience into the ground. Step 1 would be to try to get back to last year’s attendances of 750-1000.

Yes it's a strange fixation for a sport that rarely if ever fill the magic weekend stadium with a capacity crowd with 12 clubs appearing.

It is the only explanation I can think.of that makes any sense. We didn't fill trailfinders once when we got back into SL
Any other sport would already have next year's format in place, with a clear plan for any changes the year after......but nope, that's too sensible for Rugby League.
If London haven't been given the nod for a spot in SL, be that SL one or two and yet are still moving to Wimbledon, I can see the club bankrupt and out of business inside 3 years.
As I understand it, London are paying £200,000 a year for 12 home games a year and all they get fiscally for it is ticket revenue? Wimbledon own all the bars and food concessions.....Jesus. even at Brentford you could buy 6 VB in a bucket from the club. If they think they'll get enough fans to cover the rent then they're dreaming....better to stay at ealing for at least one more year and try and rebuild the club....Wimbledon will still be there if things change, but at th moment.....1 venue for everything has to be the better way. Doesn't it?

Certainly at Ealing the entire takings from the Bars and food go to Trailfinders.
The manner of that deal is why post match entertainment was never going to happen there.
The deal at Wimbledon is better for the Broncos I am told. How much better I do not know, but it could not be worse.
