The players are professionals and I'm sure they will 'give it a go', if for no other reason but to put themselves in the shop window for a gig with a full time club next season.
Maybe Fev, with their playoff place long since settled might have those games on their mind rather than what is a dead rubber ( for them.) this weekend.[/quote]
You did not watch the second half at Whitehaven then

Some players have given us their best! but our squad was not good enough, Sammutt was the real driving force, and injuries! Just hope Hankinson gets his chance at Wigan, he deserves it! but then not sure about Leneghan and his ways.
we will lose by 50+ Our players will not want to get injured as this could impact any new club which might sign them. SO I expect they will try, but they will not play at the level of intensity needed
I agree with NB. Sadly what will lead us to a 50 point spanking is lack of experience, lack of necessary physicality in defence and not enough skilful players being 100% fit. And to be fair Rovers are good- big and quick. On the plus side, and this is a big gamble here, it would be simply impossible for us to be more incompetent with the ball than the Home Rovers fixture last year. Remember it - the ball must have been coated in butter.
I see coach Tom is hoping for a big crowd for our final home game. He doesn't specify though whether he means in numbers or everyone being 6' 4" & 18st.
In fairness he says he “hopes” as do we all. Sadly it’s the hope that kills you. My guess Rovers 150 supporters. London 150 some of whom have paid to attend.
