We made a genuine offer for Toby King but unfortunately he chose to stay at Wire. He himself admitted he seriously considered signing for us. Your reference to Tesla demonstrates your inability to make meaningful comparisons. The deadwood you refer to has scored more tries this season than any FC player.

You do realise the deadwood I’m referring to is Ben Crooks?

Apologies, I did not realise Swift had scored 13 tries. He is however the only one in your squad to score more tries than Ben. 10 tries for the team that has played the fewest matches and a strike rate of more than a try every two games is not deadwood material.
I see we have three players in the list of top try scorers so we must be doing something right. At the moment I’d prefer the Rovers’ squad to the one you have assembled. That includes any player you in your subjective opinion consider to be deadwood.

Playing Leigh three times (a third of your wins) may render any statistics meaningless, due to the lopsided nature of the fixtures. I’m well aware of Hulls shortcomings this season, and the fact they’ve underperformed. Still doesn’t mean you’ve got a better squad.

This story broke almost 6 weeks ago when it was reported that Taukeiaho was looking at a huge money move to Super League as soon as the end of this season. It was reported that he is on a salary of A$ 655K until the end of 2022.
His coach has declared he will not be released from his current contract. As a player he is a top tier prop who would be really sought after if he departed the Sydney Roosters.

Also Cats three times didn’t help us very much. The only team to do so. Playing bottom feeders is not always an advantage. Remember Salford, did you not concede over 40 points?

That's exactly the same what happened when we tried to sign James Tedesco.

Or get beat by Wakey twice, the fact you are judging a player on try's scored shows you knowledge of the game, there are plenty of players over the years that have scored lots of try's without being very good. Hard to judge the league (like last season) when it is so unbalanced, we don't deserve to be in the play offs though.
Back on topic, if we are going to spend big, id rather spend it on a more pivotal players, in 2023 we should be looking for a top 7.
