Just seen this online. Limited parking is available on York City FC and York City Knights RLFC home match days for supporters who have pre-purchased parking along with their match tickets. If you are attending a match, please avoid driving to the Park & Ride site unless you already have a pre-purchased parking ticket.
"If you start listening to the fans it won't be long before you're sitting with them," - Wayne Bennett.
Not easy listening at times as it sounds like we're still making school boy errors and inviting teams back into games. But never easy playing York so great to come away with the win.
Great win by the Bulls today. Was that the strongest 17 we've fielded all season?
The game changer was Brough. We look so much more organised and cohesive with him back marshalling the team around the field. Barring his kick out on the full, I felt he played his best game in a Bulls shirt. His high bombs gained us brilliant field position in the first half to grab a couple of early tries. When York managed to claw their way back in, he kept us ticking over and controlled the game. A stark contrast to last weeks effort.
I also felt that our forwards won us the game today. The yards after contact from Fleming, Walker and Crossley laid the platform for our 1,6 and 7 to attack with an abundance of time and space. Some great finishing from Evans in the corner in the second half to kill off any York fightback.
I felt we gifted York a couple of scores with some poor individual errors. Cut those out and the game wouldn't have been as close.
Great atmosphere as well from both sets of fans. I was surrounded by York fans who had a few interesting comments throughout the game. At full time I gave them all a wry smile. York have got themselves a fantastic little ground. Wish we could have something like that...
