I know, i know, its unheard of to start a game thread on a Monday!
But just wanted to make people aware that the capacity for Sundays game is limited to 2000. They currently only have a safety certificate in place for 1 stand. I was shocked when i saw it as i wasnt something i was aware of.
Just wanted to let people know if you are wanting to go you best get in quick. York have confirmed they are expecting a sell out.

shame .. 2k cap, that game under normal circumstances would have been a sell out. we've built up a nice little rivalry with York these last few years and had some monster games with them. i dont think we'll go up this year so this fixture next year (covid permitting) will be awesome
YORK City have said they are "hopeful" that the capacity at the LNER Community Stadium will be increased to 4,250 ahead of Saturday's game against Brackley Town.
The capacity at the Community Stadium has been restricted to around a quarter of its 8,500 capacity thus far, with the York Stadium Management Company (SMC) - which is wholly owned by York City - not providing sufficient safety evidence to the City of York Council and the Safety Advisory Group (SAG).
In a club statement, York City said that the SMC, along with Gll, the Council and SAG, are continuing to "work closely... to facilitate the increase in capacity at the LNER Community Stadium from its current level of 2,128.
"it is the SAG’s intention to reconsider the safe working capacity of the LNER Community Stadium as early as possible this week.
So York City are hopeful that the stadium company (owned by York City) will do the required work to have the capacity increased. Erm. So if they think they can get it increased in time for Saturday's footy, then our game the day after could follow suit.

I'm off to this match - looking forward to it. Just not the trip on the York ring road. Does anyone know if the park and ride takes in the new stadium?

The new stadium is located at Monks Cross park and ride terminus.
