Not in my time following it, which is 2 decades. As for a Coach. Tony Rea would be a good option if we're looking to mix experienced Aussies with our own kids, but I genuinely believe that Hughes is on the brink of walking and as such, there'll be no money to pay anyone, so it's a moot point really.

If he does walk now he will be leaving the club in a perilous state. Much worse than when he took over.

His arrogance is the only thing keeping him at it...he'd be remembered as the man who destroyed pro RL in the capital and that would irk him terribly...
I can't see why he would walk with so much money invested, but I can't see who he could offload the club to for money either. It may be he just ensures the club ticks over in the hope another lunatic steps forward soon.

I can't see Hughes walking away, he is not that type of guy! It is being talked about that Mr Marwan Koukash wants to get back involved in the game again? except the distance from just outside St Helens? Another guy who took so much stick! this time off the media, but like our owner, he put that much money into the game.

Jaybs, on behalf of the EODBFC (Edge of despair Broncos fan club) we invite you to bang on his door & sell London Broncos to him. Dont forget it's anything but one careful owner.

Short memory? 2013 he was walking......his tantrum resulted in the rfl bribing Barnet to take us in and our relegation due to not knowing we were even in existence 7 weeks before the season started and 6 weeks after other clubs had started their preseason training ...."he's exactly that stort of guy". Why so people try to defend the indefensible? He has destroyed the club I support through a total and utter lack of any future planning. Remember, when he took sole charge we had 4k fans and we're playing top flight rugby in a purpose built rugby stadium. We are now where we are after he has spent the same amount of money every year. 5 years ago he went on record as saying trailfinders was perfect for us and given we hosted a SL season there and never once filled the place, the need to move again is 100% down to his ineptitude in terms of running a business. The club have never attempted to attract new fans and in the last 7 years they've not even bothered to try and retain the ones they had left, resulting in crowds that are 7% the size of when he took over... As for Marwan? Another well meaning but ultimately useless wealthy hobbyist....Leigh are welcome to him. He, like Hughes, couldn't understand why fans didn't flock to watch HIS TEAM......bloody amateurs, the pair of them
I think Hughes will allow himself to be convinced by the ape that this year's collapse in crowds is due to covid and performance due to Ward being disloyal - Hughes does, after all, want to succeed he just doesn't know how. So he'll stick around for the move to Wimbledon, even if it means a part time team, but when they find crowds don't improve (bar, perhaps, a 'reasonable' first game attendance out of curiosity) he'll finally give up. 2022 will be the end of his time at the club.
The only question after that is whether or not enough fans have retained an interest that they can muster themselves to take over the club and keep it going in some limited form. Personally, I doubt it but you never know, some might return after he's gone.
