Look, what about the other clubs who also put in an application? THEY didn't have to, but they did. Did them owners have big ego's too? The deal was on the table ,so no more money would've been offered. It seems to me you have some kind of an agenda with Leigh, So................Why don't you just spit it out? Yer not Chris Kendal by any chance are you? He hate's the sight of Leigh.

We don't know if any other clubs would have accepted the terms that Dexy did.

No teams should have accepted them and that would have forced Super League to up the money on offer as Sky will tell you are are paying for a 12 team Super League not 11.

Let's also not forget, whoever was chosen to fill that 12th spot would be in the same position, if not worse. Also, the toxic Super-league would've struggled with only 11 teams in it,so be grateful. I personally would keep well away from your toxic league, simply because it will be the usual top big 5 or 6 teams competing for prizes every season. (OH, And you're not one of them.) Anyway,It's more fun and entertaining in the championship. Can't wait to get back there to be honest.
In fairness, I don`t think Toulouse would be in the same position had they been successful with there application, I think in terms of there playing squad they were probably the best choice for SL, I think the only reason they didn`t get granted the place was it was another team outside of the UK to think about the Covid situation, that`s of course just speculation.

But they did.
I'm not getting your point. Look, the team whoever got the nod, (got £1m I think),and an outside chance of staying in SL. In Leigh's case now, they will end up back where they started anyway. It's just not been good for the fans.so for me you can keep your 11 teams and sought your own troubles out. God help the team, and best of luck to them, who gets promoted from the championship.

Fair point but, It's hard to tell. Leigh have been ravaged with injuries from the off, and unable to recruit due to no (decent) players being available. Once you find yourself in that position, and your just going down (Again), you have no chance of building a club to mix it with the big boys.

Of all the teams in the mix to be in Super League next season from the Championship they only one with a chance of surviving would be Toulouse as they have some money. Fev appear to want to reduce their wage bill for next season, unless they have some potential class players lined up for next season IF they get promoted, and are making room from the salary cap for them

Have you not read any previous post? Or are you just in this for some kind of thread win? I'll enlighten you - Leigh have the money, but the talent player pool isn't there,so where are these players coming from? Unless Toulouse have an unlimited salary cap, they'll be in a no different of a situation than Leigh are. Remember Toronto who spent £Millions? Look what happened to them.

I think that you may be better off saving your breath Cokey.
There is no doubt whatsoever that the promoted club were going to be up against it from the off. No time to recruit, half the cash of the existing SL clubs and at the time no crowd. Add to that the injuries that have piled up and it's become mission impossible. I thought that Leigh would manage a few "W's" and they still might but, with 5 wins to make up, it looks like your only hope of top flight rugby is that there will be no relegation, due to the impending re structure. Its hard enough at the best of times for a promoted club to stay in SL but, it's been massively more difficult for Leigh.
