Not unless the Covid rules change.
Is Hodgson the new Griffin, or is it all about pace?

Well the only thing I’ve said to myself is ‘stranger things have happened’. Though having not played well against St’s I’m pretty sure they’ll be out to make amends.
The problem is the club is damned if they do and famed if they don’t and have done all they can to keep the integrity of the sport rather than play the game so to speak. Whether that’s stands us in good stead moving forward or bites us time will tell. I imagine its a calculated risk in terms of where we are, trying to get a game under our belts heading in to the derby and freeing up 3 players ending their suspensions.
I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

No one is going to have a go at the team given the circumstances but its a long way to go to give Taylor 15 or 20 minutes game time which is all he will do in the heat and humidity in Perpignan on Friday. Savelio is the only important player of the three banned. I just think trying to play this game before the Derby when half the team is missing anyway does little to help the team or the club The club is short of money yet is prepared to pay £15000/£20000 for a chartered aircraft.Doesnt make sense. We all have to be realistic and expect to see effort but could be on the wrong end of a heavy defeat even worse than cancelling the game for a 24/0 loss Thats my point

I get your point and in fact as the Saints game started to go majorly tits up I said that in retrospect we should just have said we couldn't raise a team. The fault lies with Super League with the ridiculously lenient 0-24 walkover penalty.
It should be a points deduction and at the very least a 0-50 'scoreline'. It should never be preferable to accept a default loss than to make the effort and play a game.

Thanks for that Lets hope some others on here like Hull2524 read your post. They just dont get it. Playing this match is hardly going to enhance or help our game against HKR when we are missing half the team including the spine and Chris Satae Understand we will get Savelio back but surely common sense says take the Walkover penalty. Then to spend as i said £15000/£20000 on an aircraft when the club is facing major financial difficulty thats what doesnt add up.

I disagree.
I wouldn’t want Hull ever to accept a walkover penalty as an alternative to playing. It completely goes against the spirit of the game. Otherwise, we would could have cherry picked games for years. I’m sure some of those horror results at home to Warrington would read better as a 0-24 defeat, however you’d just get some teams playing 20 games per season and taking a breather and a 24-0 default defeat to St Helens etc.
If we complain about the flight cost, then we incur that every season. What do we do, kick Cats out of the League because they are too expensive to play?
I’m glad we are playing. The result will be what it is. The competition gets to fulfill one more round; Cats get gate revenue; we clear our suspensions; Taylor gets some match fitness; and some of our youngsters get a debut.

For clarity I'm against the idea of cancelling and accepting a default 0-24 result and I'm glad we are playing tomorrow but I can understand why two clubs have taken that option rather than playing teenagers and probably losing by a much bigger margin as well as potentially picking up further injuries and/or susensions. The penalty for not playing is nowhere near strong enough.
